So I think that I have finished working on the blogging system for awhile. Time to kick back and just write. I have added 2 more skins to the system. They appear randomly everytime that the page is reloaded. I also have to implement the archive functionality. But that does not matter too much yet. I have a week before these entries dont show up on the main page anymore.
So, I think that I will take some time to introduce myself. Pay attention, this will be the only time. So at the moment, I am a 23 year old Software Test Engineer living in Redmond, Washington. I have a B.E. in Computer Engineering from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
People always ask me where I am from. I am never quite sure where to answer. I have not lived any significant time in any one location. I was born in Sidney, OH. I only lived there for about a year (or so I was told), but lived in Warren, OH (relatively nearby) for about 5 years (so 6 in OH total). Then we moved to Lenexa, KS. I lived there for 8 years. I liked Lenexa. I was not happy about leaving. From there we moved to Nashville, TN. I ended up going to college there as well, so I spent 7.5 years in Nashville. Then, I have lived here in Redmond for 1.25 years now.
So basically I am a computer geek. There is really no better way to put it. Although, lately I have been getting into some non geeky things. I have taken up snowboarding since living here. I am not that good at it yet, but hopefully I will get better.
Other than that I play quite a bit of Xbox. Although, as I have read recently (
here) maybe it should be called ybox. Then again, there is just something cool about the name X-box though. Pretty much all I use the xbox for though is Halo. I go to Halo tournaments regularly. (hey I warned you that I was a geek.)
So right now the big thing that is on my plate is that I am about to buy a condo. I am really tired of throwing away so much money in rent. While I realize that I will still be spending the same on a mortgage, in the end though, I will at least have something to show for it.
There is SO much to say, but I think that I will cover everything slowly over serveral days. (maybe that will keep some people coming back.)
